# Ask

Where you describe a change in your own words, then review the plan before anyone drafts it.

Ask is the Console entry for a change you cannot make yourself in Studio. Write the page, the change, and what done looks like. One request is one outcome.

## What you write

Name the page and the result you expect. A plan can be offered before drafting starts. Read it and confirm before the draft is made. You can attach the page you mean so the request is not a guess about which URL.

Code, redirects, schemas, new templates, and integrations are outside the routine path. They need scoped work. Prefer Annotate or Studio when the change is already something you can point at or edit.

## What happens next

The request shows up in Work. You review the draft there, ask for changes, or approve. Publishing still follows the rules on [Approving and publishing](/guide/console/publishing/).

Recent conversations stay on Ask so you can reopen one instead of starting a second thread for the same outcome.
