schema validator

What your structured data says, field by field.

Give me an address and I read the JSON-LD on that page, then check it against what Google and schema.org document. You get what is present, what is missing and who asks for it, with a fix to paste. No score, and no email.

Paste HTML or JSON-LD instead

The address goes to my Worker, which fetches the page, following up to three redirects. The tool stores neither. What happens to it.

What it checks, and who says so.

"Required" appears only where Google documents it, as I read that documentation on November 6, 2026. Any other type on the page is listed as read and not checked field by field, and so is a node nested inside another, such as a publisher inside an Article, unless it is the parent's main entity or breadcrumb.

Type Source Required Also checked
Organization Google lists no required properties for organizations. Google Nothing documented name, url, logo, sameAs, description
WebSite Google requires these for site names, and reads them from the home page only. Google name, url alternateName
Article Google lists no required properties for articles. Google Nothing documented headline, image, datePublished, dateModified, author
NewsArticle Google lists no required properties for articles. Google Nothing documented headline, image, datePublished, dateModified, author
BlogPosting Google lists no required properties for articles. Google Nothing documented headline, image, datePublished, dateModified, author
BreadcrumbList Google asks for at least two items in a breadcrumb list. Google itemListElement, itemListElement (at least 2 items), itemListElement.position, itemListElement.name, itemListElement.item (not on the last item)
Product Google name, offers or review or aggregateRating, offers.price (or priceSpecification.price, or lowPrice and priceCurrency on an AggregateOffer), when offers is given
SoftwareApplication Google name, aggregateRating or review, offers.price applicationCategory, operatingSystem
MobileApplication Google name, aggregateRating or review, offers.price applicationCategory, operatingSystem
WebApplication Google name, aggregateRating or review, offers.price applicationCategory, operatingSystem
FAQPage Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in May 2026. This checks the schema.org structure only and does not imply a rich result. schema.org Nothing documented mainEntity, mainEntity.name, mainEntity.acceptedAnswer.text
WebPage This checks the schema.org structure only. Google's Speakable beta reads this type, and this tool does not check that. schema.org Nothing documented name, url, description
Service This checks the schema.org structure only and does not imply a Google feature. schema.org Nothing documented name, description, provider, serviceType

What it will not do.

  • Predict a rich result or an AI citation. It checks fields against documentation. It does not know what any search engine or assistant will show.
  • See what JavaScript adds. It reads raw HTML and runs nothing, so markup injected after load is invisible to it. Paste the rendered HTML from your browser's inspector to check that.
  • Judge whether the values are true. A wrong price with the field present counts as present.
  • Check microdata and RDFa field by field. It tells you when they are on the page. Google's Rich Results Test covers them.
  • Read past its limits. One page, up to three redirects on the way to it, the first 2 MB, the first 30 blocks, 200 KB per block and the first 200 items in a list. It says when it stopped early.
  • Keep your address. The address goes to my Worker, which fetches the page and any redirects on the way to it, and returns the JSON-LD. The tool stores neither the address nor the page.

Questions about the validator.

Will passing this get me a rich result?

Not on its own, and I would not trust a tool that said so. Valid markup makes a page eligible for the features Google documents. Whether Google shows one is Google's call, on signals this tool cannot see. Run the page through Google's Rich Results Test when you want Google's own answer.

Will it tell me whether AI answers will cite my site?

No. Nothing here measures citations, and I do not treat structured data as a way to earn them. The site performance check shows what crawlers can read, which is a different question.

Why is there no score?

Because a single number would have to weigh fields against each other, and nobody documents those weights. A score out of 100 would be me making that up. Each node gets a count of the fields present instead, and every missing field says who asks for it.

Why are so few fields marked required?

Because "required" here only appears where Google documents it. Google lists no required properties for Organization or Article, so a missing logo is a recommendation and not an error. Other tools call these errors. I read the documentation on November 6, 2026, and the labels follow it.

Why does it treat FAQPage differently?

Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in May 2026. FAQPage is still valid schema.org, so I check that each question has a name and an answer, and I label that as schema.org structure. It does not imply any feature in search.

Why can it not read my page?

Usually one of three things: the site refuses bots and answers 403, the address redirects more than three times, or the markup is added by JavaScript after the page loads. The first two are fixed by pasting the page source. For the third, copy the rendered HTML from your browser's inspector and paste that.

What happens to the address I enter?

It goes to my Worker, which fetches that page, following up to three redirects, and returns the JSON-LD it found. The tool stores neither the address nor the page, and there is no email to give. Anything you paste stays in this tab. The privacy page has the rest.
