Hypercare
Hypercare is a fixed period of close support straight after a launch, when defects from the move are found and fixed quickly. It ends on a set date. It is not ongoing maintenance, and it does not cover new work.

The word comes from software rollouts, where a team stays close to a new system for a short time after it goes live. It describes a stretch when problems are expected and get handled first.
It works because it has edges. There is a start date, an end date and a written list of what counts: defects from the move and the launch checks everyone agreed on. Anything else is still legitimate work, just not this work.
Why it matters for a marketing site
Some migration problems only show under real traffic: an old URL nobody listed, a form that reaches the wrong CRM owner, a report that stopped counting. A launch with no support window leaves those with whoever noticed. A window with no end date turns into an unpriced retainer. Hypercare draws the line at both ends.
How I handle it
Every migration includes 30 days. They cover migration defects and the agreed launch checks. They are not a subscription you cancel, and new pages, redesigns and later requests sit outside them. The old site stays up through the whole period, because it is the rollback, so keep the old platform's plan active until the 30 days end.
Example
Say a redirect is missing for a PDF that a partner links to, and it surfaces in week two. That is a migration defect, so it gets fixed inside hypercare. A request in the same week for a new pricing page is real work too, but it is new work, and it gets scoped separately.
Common mistakes
- Canceling the old plan on launch day. Webflow-hosted files disappear when a site is unpublished or the plan ends, and your rollback goes with them.
- Treating it as free development. Mixing new requests into the window slows the defect work it exists for.
- Watching only the homepage. Forms, redirects and analytics fail quietly. Check them against the launch list.
Questions
What happens when hypercare ends?
The site is yours and keeps running in your accounts. Later work is optional, and you can run the site without me.
Do I need to keep paying for the old platform during it?
Yes. The old site is the rollback for those 30 days, and an active plan is what keeps it and its hosted files available.
